WFREC Pomegranate Seminar February 24



The West Florida Research and Education Center will host a Pomegranate Seminar on Monday, February 24, 2014.   Dr. Bill Castle, Professor Emeritus from the UF Ctirus Research and Education Center will discuss pomegranates and the potential for growth here in northwest Florida.

Seminar topics will include:

  • History of Pomegranates

  • Botany

  • Cultivars

  • Cultural Practices

  • Recommendations on what cultivars to plant

  • View Pomegranate Website & Question and Answer Session

The program will be held from 10 am -12 pm (central time) at the West Florida Research and Education Center at 4253 Experiment Road (Hwy 182) in Jay, Florida 32565.  Seating is limited, RSVP to Robin Vickers at 850-983-7134.
